This is a lovely tribute to your friend, Susan. I am sorry for your loss. I DO love the picture as sunflowers, I think, should be named “smile-flowers” as I always visualize a smile on it’s big cheerful face.

I can relate to this on two levels: both the memories and the sunflowers.
I too have lost a loved one recently, so I can relate to your tribute. About the sunflowers – Years ago before my son Joel left for a biking tour of Europe with his cousin he planted sunflower seeds in front of our porch. But he didn’t tell me! When I saw tall shoots growing like Jack in the Beanstalk, I quizzed him about it, and he confessed. It was a sweet gesture!
I thought I had already thanked you for coming by on this blog post Marian but I see it’s not there. So, in case you have received another reply from me to yours, better that than not. I said how lovely it was that your son planted those seeds unbeknown to you … how lovely that those sunflowers bloomed! And thank you.
