To Hunt A Sub

Jacqui Murray’s debut novel ‘To Hunt a Sub‘ is out. I read an excerpted chapter which I enjoyed so much that I’ve ordered it on my Kindle. There is no guarantee as to when I will read it but I will and follow up with a review.

I’m really happy to put this up as a blog post. It’s the first time I’ve done so. It’s a small token of appreciation for her ongoing support and comments to my infrequent blogs. I’d be happy to do likewise for any of you.

Her posts are so worthwhile – there are so many excellent tips for writers, technical shortcuts on the computer and much much more, all written in her clear and concise style and always a pleasure to read. For checking out and subscribing to her posts:

She is the author of the popular Building a Midshipman, the story of her daughter’s journey from high school to United States Naval Academy, and the thriller To Hunt a Sub. She is also the author/editor of over a hundred books on integrating tech into education, adjunct professor of technology in education, webmaster for four blogs, an Amazon Vine Voice book reviewer,  a columnist for TeachHUB, Editorial Review Board member for Journal for Computing Teachers, monthly contributor to Today’s Author and a freelance journalist on tech ed topics. You can find her nonfiction books at her publisher’s website, Structured Learning.

  1. Thanks for the heads up on this, Susan, and for introducing us to Jacqui.

Jacqui, best wishes with your book sales. Such achievements in your family. We were a U.S. Navy officer’s family once, so I can relate somewhat.

  2. Susan, I am so very pleased to learn about Jacqui’s book and about her deep knowledge of technical topics and about military life and people. I shall book-mark “To Hunt a Sub” , and this book will soon be on my Kindle.

Brava Jacqui ! Many encore- books s to you!

    • That’s great Joseph! I hope she’ll come by and see your comment! It’s on my Kindle, TBR (to be read).

Thanks for coming by, and hope all well in your neck of the woods.

      • My apologies for not getting back sooner. I had some geeky problems which I think are worked out. I hope. I hate when that happens, especially when the timing is horrid.

I so appreciate you hosting me and introducing me to your wonderful community.

    • Thanks so much, Joseph. I’m working on the sequel right now. I want my robot to be much more talented. Of course, since I’m writing the book, I can make him anything I want!

  3. Hi Susan – I’ve just been over to tap into Jacqui’s blog – another resource. She certainly has lots of experience and with some great resources … so I expect To Hunt a Sub will be an interesting read …

    Cheers Hilary

    • Thanks so much, Hilary. I apologize for not responding sooner. ‘Technical difficulties’ as they say, but I think I’m recovered now. My emails were going nowhere I could see. It took me a while to fix it!

  4. Thanks for introducing me to Jacqui Murray, Susan. I’ll follow your links and do a little exploring. Thank you for introducing a friend and her work to other friends. We need each other!

    • I’m having so much fun with Susan’s friends. This is the great part of a blog hop–meeting new bloggers. I’m going over to check out your posts.

  5. Nice to read your post susan, I will check on the link you have shared, thanks for sharing. This week has been stressful for me as David went for a laser treatment for varicose veins and am just able to balance, today I checked my email, and was glad to read your post. Best wishes to Jacqui 🙂

    • Hi Genevieve, thanks for coming by. I hope Jacqui reads your message and all good wishes to David for his recovery – and hopefully you’ll have a restful weekend. 🙂

    • Thanks, Genevieve, for visiting. I hope that laser treatment is almost recovered. I know it takes a while at times. And isn’t terribly pleasant.
